Winter Wonderland Snowman

This sweet vintage inspired Snowman is made of spun cotton.
Spun cotton is a traditional method, originating in 19th-century Germany, for making small toys and decorations. Thin layers of cotton are applied, adhering to the base with a glue mixture. After the piece was dried I hand-painted Frosty with acrylic paints.
He has glitter stems for arms and is holding a bottle brush tree. His scarf is made of a chenille stem. I made his top hat from card board painted black and sprinkle of mica.
Snowman is tucked inside a glass cloche. Snowman is firmly attached to base.
Along with snowman is a bottle brush tree and a vintage reindeer. Whole piece is sprinkled with mica.
