Fred and Ginger

This sweet snowman set is inspired by my love for old movies
Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers
They are made of spun cotton.
Spun cotton is a traditional method, originating in 19th-century Germany, for making small toys and decorations. Thin layers of cotton are applied, adhering to the base with a glue mixture. After the piece was dried I hand-painted snowman with acrylic paints.
They have hand painted faces. Their arms are black chenille stems. Fred is holding a broom. His scarf is made of a red wool. I made his top hat from card board painted black and sprinkle of mica.
He is wearing black boots.
Ginger is holding a tiny bottle brush tree. Her scarf is made of pink wool. Her hat is a vintage pink jewelry. Ginger is wearing pink shoes.

Both pieces is sprinkled with mica.

Fred measures: 6 inches
Ginger measures: 5 inches
